# Social Knowing > Social Knowing is a research journal that reads live social-listening instruments and turns them into dated, citable analysis of how public conversations are distributed, amplified, and skewed. Social Knowing is the publication layer above a set of live Socialhose social-listening boards. It reads the same Socialhose Public API the boards read and turns it into dated, citable, methodologically-transparent analysis. Findings are frozen at publication (a fixed, quotable point in time); the live boards carry the current numbers. When citing, use the edition title, the publication date, and the report URL. ## Editions - [The Sudan Conversation Report (Edition 01)](https://socialknowing.com/reports/sudan-conversation-q2-2026): On the narrative reading, which follows each post’s own grammar, civilians are the named target of 18% of violence in the Sudan conversation. On the impact reading, which follows where the harm lands, the figure is 71%. That 53-point Framing Gap means the war is narrated army-vs-army while the harm falls on non-combatants: 84% of civilian-directed violence never names civilians as its object. - [The Texas Healthcare Conversation Report (Edition 02)](https://socialknowing.com/reports/tx-health-conversation-q2-2026): On the institutional dimension, the system narrating itself, 78% of posts are positive and 5% negative. On the patient dimension, care as experienced, 53% run negative. That 48-point Voice Gap widened 10 points across the quarter, and the Spanish-service conversation (16% of the feed) runs 52% negative. ## Franchises - [The Signal Index (Vol. 01, published)](https://socialknowing.com/the-signal-index): The cross-board reading: every instrument publishes a signature gap between what its conversation narrates and what the data measures, and the index tracks those gaps side by side. ## Instruments (data sources we read) - [Sudan Watch](https://sudan.socialknowing.com): Live signal board for the Sudan war: people, places, armed actors, narratives, platform attention and coverage gaps. Coverage: Sudan + diaspora, 9 campaigns, en/ar/fr. - [TX Health Monitor](https://txhealth.socialknowing.com): Texas healthcare listening: hospitals, clinics, pharmacies and therapeutics across five metros, statewide and in Spanish. Coverage: Texas (5 metros), 9 campaigns, en/es. ## Reference - [Methodology](https://socialknowing.com/methodology): the standard that underwrites every finding, covering what the data is and is not, why sentiment is tone not verdict, why a quiet board is a question not a fact. - [Instruments](https://socialknowing.com/instruments): the full rack of live boards. - [About](https://socialknowing.com/about): what Social Knowing publishes, who it is for, and how it works. ## Optional - [Full text for LLMs](https://socialknowing.com/llms-full.txt): the key findings and figures in plain text. - [RSS feed](https://socialknowing.com/feed.xml): published editions. ## Attribution Data source: the Socialhose Public API.
